The New Zealand Korean baseball tournament was established to celebrate the New Years with a game of baseball amongst Koreans who enjoy playing baseball in New Zealand. Since its establishment in 2010, the tournament has grown year by year until today and it has become one of the most popular events in the Korean community of New Zealand. 8 teams participated in the last tournament in 2013 and Auckland Pride finished first in the tournament. 6 Korean teams will be fighting for the 2014 championship. There will be a very exciting all-star game in between the best of Korean players and non-Korean players, mainly who play in the New Zealand’s top baseball league, for the very first time in the upcoming tournament.
